Due out 8th January 2010, Darksiders is the lastest combat action game from THQ and developers Vigil.
Featuring an epic plot that involves the one of the four horsemen of the apocalypse (“War” to be precise) and the old ancient war between heaven and hell, Darksiders is shaping up to be one of the most intriguing games of 2010.
As far as the nitty gritty details go, War has been accused of breaking the sacred law by inciting a war between Heaven and Hell. Finding himself dishonoured and stripped of his powers, War must return to Earth to search for the truth and punish those responsible.
Along the way, he is hunted by a group of avenging Angels and must forge uneasy alliances with the very demons he is sworn to hunt down.
The game features a graphic novel art style, designed and developed by Joe Madureira (X-Men®, Battle Chasers™,The Ultimates®) and has been likened to The Legend of Zelda series, along with God of War and Devil May Cry.
